About us
Yerkratsiner (Earthlings) is an international team advocating for animal rights, an end to exploitation of all animals, and an ethical, caring attitude towards them. We started out as a grassroots animal advocacy initiative, and today we are officially registered in Armenia as a non-governmental organization.
For three years now we have been running educational events and festivals of our own, and joining events held by others. We organize charity film screenings, concerts, vegan days and lectures to help all animals without exception: companion animals, wild animals and animals exploited in agriculture. There is a great deal of work ahead — new festivals to take part in, educational events to hold, campaigns to run, and other initiatives that matter.

We defend the rights of animals exploited in agriculture, of companion animals and of wild animals in Armenia, and we work to end the cruelty they face.
Through advocacy and education we build social practices grounded in care for animals, the planet and people.
Our values
Recognizing every animal's right to freedom
We believe that all animals have a right to life and to freedom, regardless of their species or their usefulness to humans. Our work rests on anti-speciesist principles and is directed towards ending the practices that exploit animals.
Animals come first
In every decision we make and every initiative we take on, the interests of animals come first. We work towards systemic change that brings the exploitation of all animals to an end.

Political independence and openness to dialogue
We are a politically independent organization, and we seek constructive dialogue with all stakeholders while remaining committed to defending the interests of animals.
Transparency
We report openly on our work, our decisions and our use of resources. At the same time, we work to bring to light and to question the ways animals are treated out of public view, and to make that information publicly available.
An interdisciplinary, evidence-based approach
Our work rests on scientific facts and research. We monitor and gather information on the realities animals face, drawing on experts in veterinary medicine, ethology, ecology and law.
